Helping Animals, One Soul at a Time
A forever home for farm and domestic animals.
A forever home for farm and domestic animals.
At Autumn Acres, we believe that every life is precious and that all beings want to live. We are dedicated to rescuing farm and domestic animals, so they can live out their lives in a loving home. We meet the needs of our animals by offering a variety of education and community centered activities designed to help others foster an appreciation for animals and their care, as well as Patreon membership.
Our current location is modest. We provide a loving home to horses, rabbits, dogs, cats, birds, and we can now accommodate turkeys and chickens. All of our animals were adopted from shelters or were otherwise homeless. We focus on elderly, companion horses and dogs with socialization/timidity issues. Two of our animals were rescued from hoarding situations. Because of this, many of them have additional medical and behavioral needs.
Autumn T. Johnson has a passion for all things animals. After years of pet sitting, fostering, volunteering, and adopting, she decided to found Autumn Acres in 2020. She has experience in government, nonprofit, and small business. She has founded four entities ranging from art to professional services to animal welfare. Autumn has been vegetarian since 2005 and vegan since 2013.
